Liam McIntyre replace Andy Whitfield in SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND. Whitfield is battling a recurrence of cancer and could no longer continue the role. At the Television Critics Association press tour, Starz President Chris Albrecht confirmed that there would indeed be a second full season of Spartacus with entirely new characters and new settings. Spartacus: Blood and Sand will probably air in early 2012 on Starz.
